Investigators are releasing that two people at the residence are deceased and one was injured. The injured person was taken to a local hospital.
Additionally, the male detained at Forest Park has been arrested as detectives believe he was involved in the shooting.
The age, city of residence and gender of the victims are not being released at this time. The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office will take custody of the two deceased to notify their families and establish cause and manner of death.
10:00PM UPDATE: A person of interest has been detained by Everett Police as they investigate the shootings on 75th street. The person surrendered to Everett Police at the entrance to Forest Park off Mukilteo Boulevard. A SWAT team checked the area before reopening Mukilteo Boulevard. The van is being impounded by Everett Major Case detectives and there is no word yet on what role the person may have played in the incident. The investigation is still very active. More as we are able to confirm information. There is a very fluid scene right now as Everett Police deal with the report of a shooting in the 2400 block of 75th street. Everett Police spokesman Aaron Snell confirms they have reports of two people shot. There is no confirmation of nature of the injuries or if there are additional victims. There is a second scene at Forest Park where officers are dealing with a person of interest. Mukilteo Blvd. is closed. Between Friday and Dogwood.The scene at 75th street is secure but officers are waiting on search warrants to find out more information. The house has been the scene of numerous incidents including a search warrant in December by the Snohomish County Auto Theft Task Force.
The house has also had a history of other shooting incidents. We will provide more information as details becom confirmed.
