Head-On Crash Shuts Northbound Lanes Of Evergreen Way Sunday Morning.

Editor’s Update Wed 12/20/23 3:00 PM: Sadly this is a fatal collision. The driver of the Hundai died at the hospital. Here the update from the Snohomish County Medical Examiner.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office has completed the examination and confirmed the identification of the 42-year-old male who was involved in a multiple motor vehicle collision near the 6500 block of northbound Evergreen Way in Everett, Washington on December 17th, 2023. He died the same day at a local hospital. The decedent is Bryan M. Tucker of Lake Stevens, Washington. The cause of death is blunt force injuries. The manner of death is Accident.

A head-on crash in the 6500 block of Evergreen Way in Everett, Washington shut all of the northbound lanes Sunday morning.

It happened about 7:30 AM and involved a Hyundai and a delivery van.

The driver of the Hyundai was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center by medics with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the delivery van was also transported to the hospital with less serious injuries.

Detectives with Everett Police Traffic Safety Unit were called out to investigate.

From the scene it appears the Hyundai was going southbound in the northbound lanes.

As of this writing the northbound lanes have been closed for about two hours. Traffic is getting by via detour through U.S. Bank parking lot to Rainier Avenue.

Southbound lanes not affected.
