South Fork Baking Company Cuts Cake, Not Ribbon At Grand Opening Celebration
Katherine Hillman cuts the first slice of cake at this morning’s grand opening.
Customers were lined up waiting to get in the minute the doors opened.
The man entrance is at the end of the building to the south of the fountains at Pacific Rim Plaza.
There’s plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.
Lots of people cut ribbons at their Grand Opening but today
South Fork Baking Company put a twist on that tradition by cutting a cake.
Katherine Hillman was actually the first business owner to sign a lease for space at the Port of Everett’s Waterfront Place. That was a little over three years ago on August 11th, 2020.
The bakery had a soft opening this weekend and celebrated a quick grand opening this morning with a ceremonial cutting of a cake.
While local officials and well wishers gathered around to mark the opening festivities, more than a dozen people cued up in line for the fresh baked goods waiting inside.
When there’s time we’ll sit down with Katherine and do a “Meet the Owner” segment but for now here are the hours they are open this week.
10am-4pm Monday 9/18
7am-4pm Tuesday-Thursday 19th-22nd
8am-4pm Saturday/Sunday 23rd/24th
Regular hours after that:
MONDAY-FRIDAY: 7AM-4PM
SAT/SUN: 8AM-4PM
South Fork Baking Company is located at 1410 Seiner Drive Suite #103 at the Port of Everett. (just south of the splash fountain at Pacific Rim Plaza)
