As the City of Everett, Washington works through mandatory updates to the documents that guide future growth an Expo is planned Thursday September 21st to explain the process. Here’s what you need to know.

Join us on September 21, 2023, at 5:30 PM at the Everett Station’s Weyerhaeuser Room for the Everett 2044 Comprehensive Plan EXPO. You will be able to learn about the comprehensive plan update and talk with Everett City staff from Public Works, Parks, Everett Transit, and Sound Transit representatives to learn about various projects happening in our city.

Comprehensive Plan update | 6:00 – 6:30 PM
Public Works | 6:30 – 6:45 PM
Sound Transit | 6:45 – 7:00 PM
Talk to a Department Representative | 7:00 – 8:30 PM

The Comprehensive Plan:

In addition to community’s vision for Everett, the plan includes goals, policies and objectives to guide thoughtful growth and development, and a plan for infrastructure and other public facilities and services. This includes:

  • How land is used for housing, economic activity, transportation systems, utilities, parks, environmental justice, and environmental sustainability
  • How development regulations are interpreted by planning staff
  • How public projects are designed, financed and implemented
  • A program of capital expenditures, particularly those necessary for growth, and a financing plan for those facilities
