Submitted Primary Election Candidate Statements Available For Review

Editor’s Update 07/29/2023:As ballots are due Tuesday here again are the candidate statements submitted to us earlier this month – LD.

Throughout the day Friday we posted individual candidate statements from those on the primary ballot August 1st who responded to our offer and deadline for submission of a statement from them to voters in Everett, Washington. Below are links to the candidates who responded in time. We heard from a few who responded after seeing the statements posted on Friday who asked that they be included though they missed the deadline, but I declined as I felt that would not be not fair to those who followed the rules. We will again offer this opportunity prior to the General Election.

Also, I was sent a copy of a mailer that says it was sent out by the Master Builders of King and Snohomish County on behalf of Scott Bader who is running for Everett City Council. The mailer uses an unauthorized quote from an article published on MyEverettNews.com. The mailer says no candidate authorized the mailer and I called Mr. Bader and expressed my displeasure at the mailer and the use of a quote from MyEverettNews.com. He told me he had no idea. I wish to again make clear that MyEverettNews.com does not endorse any candidates or issues and does not appreciate unauthorized use of our articles in ways that give even the appearance of an endorsement.
