No Injuries As Firefighters Battle Blaze In South Everett Machine Shop

Everett Fire received assistance from South County and Mukilteo Firefighters in a confirmed commercial fire response at a former machine shop in the 2100 block of West Casino Road in south Everett, Washington Friday night.

Smoke and flames were reported coming from the building just before 7:30 PM. The first engine company in confirmed a working commercial fire which brought the additional help from outside agencies.

Firefighters began a defensive attack staying out of the building and fighting the fire from the outside.

Snohomish PUD and Puget Sound Energy arrived to shut off the power and gas to the building.

After about 45 minutes firefighters switched to an offensive position and entered the building to finish putting out the fire.

As of this writing the Everett Fire Marshal and an investigator are on scene working to determine the cause of the fire.

There were no injuries. Casino Road was closed in both directions for about two and a half hours while firefighters did their work.
