Today, February 16th, marks the 33rd anniversary of the passing of EFD Firefighter Gary Parks, an 18-year veteran at the time of his death, who was killed in the line of duty while battling a fire at Everett Community College in 1987.

We continue to remember and honor the service and sacrifice of Firefighter Parks. Pictured, is the Everett Firefighter Gary Parks memorial, which can be found on the Everett Community College Campus.

The fire, which was set by an arsonist, has yet to be solved. It is our hope, both for our department and for FF Parks’ family, that the case is solved. We will never forget.
