The suspect was booked into the Snohomish County Jail on Thursday.

Today the Snohomish County Medical Examiner identified the woman found dead in a wooded area of the 11600 Block of Evergreen Way in south Everett last weekend as 29-year-old Shawna L. Brune of Everett, WA. Her cause of death was listed as blunt force injuries and manner of death as homicide.

Yesterday Snohomish County Major Crimes Detectives arrested a 30-year-old Everett man for 1st degree murder and booked him into the Snohomish County Jail. During a hearing today a judge found probable cause to hold the man and set bond at two million dollars.

Probable cause papers submitted by Sheriff’s detectives say DNA from the suspect matched that on items found on the scene. Images of the man were also reportedly recovered from various video cameras near the scene of the murder.
