Music on The Plaza Series a Success in Downtown Everett
One vendor selling fresh blueberries, another fresh flowers and the smell of tasty goods on the grill as live music fills the air on the plaza between the Snohomish County courthouse and administration building. Yep, it’s Wednesday and another “Music on the Plaza” concert is happening in downtown Everett. Sponsored by the Snohomish County Executives’s office the series has grown in popularity as the weather this summer has allowed more people to get out of the office and onto the plaza. Today’s entertainment was a band called Preacher’s Wife playing what is called “Twang Pop”. Not too sure what theat means but the crowd seemed to be enjoying it. The folks from Comcast Arena at Everett were selling grilled items and giving away chances to win a suite to this weekend’s Professional Bull Riding event. There are three concerts left in the series which runs through the end of the month. The remaining concerts are:
Aug. 15 Hejira Network, World Music
Aug. 22 Jenny Vick, Jazzy Pop‐Rock
Aug. 29 Jètte and the Resonators, Classic‐Rock
