Major Lane Reduction On Northbound I-5 Between Everett & Marysville Thursday Night

Heads-up for nighttime drivers on northbound I-5 between Everett and Marysville per the Washington State Department of Transportation.

If you use northbound Interstate 5 in Everett at night, heads up! Thursday, Dec. 7, we’ll reduce the freeway to one lane from Marine View Drive to State Route 529 in Marysville for paving.

The two left lanes will close at 9 p.m. Dec. 7, and reopen by 6 a.m. Friday, Dec. 8.

This work is part of a project to extend the HOV lane from downtown Everett to Marysville, add a northbound off-ramp from I-5 to SR 529 and add an on-ramp from SR 529 to southbound I-5.

Our contractor crews also are adding a permanent median barrier, replacing the Jersey barrier that separated northbound and southbound I-5 traffic.
