Editor’s Update: The shooting victim is a 15-year-old boy who has died from his wounds per Everett Police. Here is their updated press release.
Just before 6:40 a.m. this morning, officers were dispatched to reports of a male who had been shot in the 7700 block of Hardeson Road.
When officers arrived on the scene, they located the fifteen-year-old victim with apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Providence Hospital in Everett where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The suspect or suspects fled before police arrived in what was described as a black sedan with silver or alloy rims.
Major Crimes detectives are still investigating the circumstances around the shooting. It is believed the suspect and victim were known to one another. At this time, evidence suggests this was a targeted shooting.
“This tragedy is the latest in a wave of shooting and firearm-related incidents in our city as well as throughout the county,” said Chief of Police Dan Templeman. “The Everett Police Department will dedicate all the resources necessary to vigorously investigate this case and bring justice to the family of this child. If you have any information that could help us identify and locate the suspects, please report it immediately.”

Around 6:40 this morning Sno911 received a report of gunshots fired in the 7700 block of Hardeson Road in south Everett, Washington.
Shortly after came reports of someone shot. Arriving officers found a person who had apparently been shot and began live-saving efforts. Medics transported the gunshot victim to Providence Colby Campus.
Major Crimes Detectives with Everett Police are on scene now. Everett Police Public Information Officer Ora Hamel tells MyEverettNews.com a juvenile has been shot and the only description is a black car was seen in the area.
