Cops And Kids Play Soccer Together At Annual Casino Road Soccer Camp In South Everett

Everett Police Chief Dan Templeman talks to the kids and coaches before they take to the field Tuesday morning.
It began back in 2006 when Everett Police Sergeant Manny Garcia put together an event to bring cops and kids together. Back then it was known as the Casino Road Football Academy. Other than an interruption due to the Pandemic it’s happened every summer and it is back this week at Walter Hall Park in south Everett, Washington. This year about a hundred kids are participating with 30 youth coaches and a number of volunteers. Boys and Girls Clubs of Snohomish County, 7-11 stores, Mukilteo Schools, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office and many others come together with Everett Police to put on the annual camp. Here are some photos from opening day. We’ll try to bring you more as the week goes on. Click photo to enlarge.
