July 6, 2023

Everett

With the Holiday over its back at it for Public Works crews in Everett, Washington. Here’s a reminder of work starting up tonight on one of the busiest streets in town.

repaving on Broadway

Work begins tonight to repave Broadway between 41st and Hewitt Avenue.

Message boards and signage will provide information to motorists. Lane closures will be in place, depending on the task. Flaggers will assist with traffic flow; property access will be accommodated, but there may be delays. In the event of an emergency, immediate access will be granted. Other expected impacts include loud and disruptive work and temporary traffic and parking restrictions. Dates may change due to weather and potential workforce and supply chain impacts.

The work will occur during day and night hours, depending on the location. The following schedule is tentative and subject to change:

  • I-5 northbound shoulder and exit ramps onto Broadway – Night work. Expect detours for all work, 10:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m.
  • Broadway – 41st Street to 35th Street- Night work. Expect detours for all work, 10:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m.
  • Broadway – 35th Street to Hewitt Avenue – Daytime work for grinding and paving. Expect one lane to remain open in each direction, 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
  • Broadway – 35th Street to Hewitt Avenue – Night work for pavement marking, 10:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m.
