October 12, 2022

Everett

Access to the base was halted for about three hours.

Things are back to normal at Naval Station Everett following a gate closure and shelter in place order earlier today. Here’s the word from base officials.

– At approximately 9:40 a.m. Naval Station Everett security forces responded to reports of a suspicious package on base.

UPDATE: Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) specialists have inspected the package and determined that it was not a threat.

The Navy takes all threats seriously.

The base has relaxed from the order to shelter in place.

Normal business operations are being resumed.
