The Port of Everett has welcomed Adam LeMieux to the team as its new Government Affairs Manager, supporting strategic outreach and advocacy to further advance the mission and goals of the Port.LeMieux joined the Port in January 2020 and is responsible for the development and advocacy of the Port’s state and federal legislative agendas, engaging in key legislation and policy that affect port operations, working collaboratively with community leaders and businesses on areas of common interest and representing the Port’s transportation interests.
“The Port of Everett is navigating exciting times filled with opportunity to further enhance the economic vitality of the community and region,” LeMieux said. “I am excited to be here as part of the Port team and to serve our community in this effort.”
Prior to joining the Port, LeMieux served the Office of U.S. Representative Rick Larsen for more than 12 years, most recently as the District Director, where he managed a team of community liaisons, caseworkers, and support staff responsible for all areas of federal policy and constituent services. During this time, he was responsible for a policy portfolio that included transportation, agriculture, energy, water, export promotion, and fish and habitat restoration.
LeMieux is a graduate of Central Washington University holding Bachelor of Arts degrees in both International Relations & Middle Eastern Studies and Religious Studies. He is active in our community, having served seven years on the Board, and now serving subcommittees of Food Lifeline, a non-profit organization dedicated to ending hunger in Washington state.
