Lotus Building Takes A Licking But Keeps On Ticking

Here are a couple of photos of the Lotus Restaurant on 19th SE at the north end of Silver Lake.

They were taken Sunday afternoon. According to Everett Police shortly after 1:30 PM a car lost control on the curve and hit the building. Aid crews were called to the scene to check out the driver.

There were no major injuries.

The city has put up signs warning drivers to slow down but this building keeps getting hit, especially in rainy weather.

Might be time for anti-skid pavement like the State applied to the 526 on-ramp to southbound I-5 a couple of years ago.
