5 K-9 Fun Run and Walk For People and Dogs in Everett Saturday

Start fall off on the right foot (or paw) with a morning spent along the Snohomish River. Be part of the scene as Everett Parks and Recreation presents the 5K-9 Fun Run and Walk, a chipped-timing event. Dogs are welcome, but not required.

Join other runners, walkers and pups at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, at Langus Riverfront Park, located at 400 Smith Island Road. Awards will be given for the fastest runner in each age category and the fastest runner overall.

Registration is required, and forms are available online or by calling the recreation office at 425-257-8300 ext. 2.

Race details and registration information

· Age categories: 6-11, 12-18, 19-34, 35-50, 51-65, 66+

Register on day of event from 9 to 9:45 a.m.:

· Adults: $24 no t-shirt

· Youth, ages 6-17: $15 no t-shirt
