Reminder: Downtown Streets Closed For Everett 3on3 Basketball

Preparations are well underway in downtown Everett for the first ever 3on3 basketball event taking place this Saturday and Sunday.

Colby between Wall and Everett Avenues, Wetmore between Hewitt and Everett Avenues as well as portions of Wall Street, Hewitt and California are also shut down with more than two dozen basketball courts spread across the downtown core.

Participants from across the State are expected to compete in the the Everett 3on3 which includes a 3-point shot contest, a skills contest and a slam dunk contest. Here’s more information.

Each team is allowed up to four registered players. Here are the age brackets.

Youth 8-9 No player on a team may be over 9 years old on the first day of the tournament.

Youth 10-11 No player on a team may be over 11 years old on the first day of the tournament.

Youth 12-13 No player on a team may be over 13 years old on the first day of the tournament.

Teen 14-15 No player on a team may be over 15 years old on the first day of the tournament.

Teen 16-18 No player on a team may be over 18 years old on the first day of the tournament.

Adult 18+ One or more players on a team must be at least 18 years old on the first day of the tournament.

Adult 35+ All players on a team must be at least 35 years old on the first day of the tournament.

Elite 18+ All players on a team must be at least 18 years old on the first day of the tournament.

Each team will be scheduled to play at least three games.

There is no change for spectators to come watch the players on Saturday and Sunday.
