“I told my boss I could fix a lot of those items up and people would want them,” Pablo said on a recent visit. Quality Household Goods was born.
Six years ago after a long search for the right location he found a spot at 1618 Broadway in north Everett. He started selling used mattresses. Those took up a lot of space so after a time he switched to appliances.
He goes through every appliance to make sure it’s working properly, makes needed repairs and says he won’t sell anything that doesn’t work good.
He’ll tell customers which is the best working model but says some still have brand favorites to which they are loyal.
During the Pandemic Quality Household Goods had to close for a couple of weeks like most businesses but things really picked up, especially with freezers which became their number one item.
“As all the major retailers ran out, people who were stocking up for the Pandemic turned to us for used freezers,” Pablo said. “Things got really busy.”
Quality Household Goods has both new and used appliances including washers and dryers, dishwashers, microwaves, refrigerators, freezers, ovens and barbeques. It’s a family business run by Pablo, his wife Josefina and daughter Diana.
“My wife and I are the delivery crew,” Pablo said with a smile.
“We’re focused on helping the community,” Josefina told us. “Pablo will make deals with people, come talk to us.”
The store is open 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM Monday through Friday and 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday. They are closed Sundays.
You can see more about Quality Household Goods on their Facebook page but since selection can change daily the best idea is to stop at the store at 1618 Broadway in north Everett. The phone number is (425) 212-9724
“Everyone is welcome here,” said Pablo. “I like to help.”
