Everett Police Investigating Two Separate Stabbings On Saturday

Medics take a stabbing victim to the back of a medic unit Saturday night.

Everett Police were busy Saturday with two separate stabbings, one in the north end and one in the south about 12 hours apart.

In the first case around 7:30 Saturday morning a man was reportedly stabbed by a known suspect near 27th and Rockefeller north of the YMCA. The victim was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center. A suspect was located and booked into the Snohomish County Jail on suspicion of 1st degree assault by Everett Police.

In the second incident Everett Police were called to reports of a stabbing inside a house on 73rd street just east of Broadway around 8 PM. Arriving officers located a suspect and medics transported a victim with a stab wound to Providence Regional Medical Center. In this case the victim and suspect also reportedly knew each other. The suspect was booked into the Snohomish County Jail on suspicion of 2nd degree assault.

In both cases the stabbing victims were able to talk with police and medics. The extent of their injuries was not known and both cases were under investigation with no specific details available at the time of this writing.
