On Friday, June 14th, the Everett Police Department will be appearing in On Patrol: Live, a television documentary series that chronicles the experiences of law enforcement on patrol, giving the public a firsthand glimpse of what it’s really like. This will be the first time the series has featured a department in Washington State.

On Patrol: Live airs Friday and Saturday Nights from 6pm to 9pm PT on REELZ, which is available in the Everett area on Direct TV (238), DISH (299), Peacock, Sling TV, Xfinity/Comcast (205 or 1429 HD).

“I truly believe we have one of the best police departments in our state – if not the best,” said Everett Mayor Cassie Franklin. “This opportunity will allow an even greater number of people, both locally and nationally, to see the great culture we’ve worked to develop within the department and our officers’ dedication to serving the greater Everett community.”

In addition to riding with the Everett Police Department live on Friday and Saturday nights, On Patrol: Live will film patrol officers in their daily operations as they respond to routine and emergent calls for service within the city. This allows viewers to see firsthand the day-to-day work and experiences of local patrol officers.

“I’m excited that Everett’s hard working police officers will be documented by On Patrol: Live,” said Police Chief John DeRousse. “This will be a great opportunity for our community and people throughout the country to see how our officers do their jobs, living up to our department’s mission while addressing some of the difficult challenges they face every day.  I believe that seeing our officers in action will inspire more people to consider a career with the Everett Police Department —wanting to become part of this important team.  Like agencies across the country, the Everett Police Department has a need to recruit future officers, from all walks of life.  We are seeking new and unique opportunities to connect with the public in ways that will promote a career with the Everett Police Department.”

As the department will be the first in Washington State to be featured on the series, it will provide viewers with a better understanding of law enforcement operations and procedures from a local lens—one that is specific to the Everett community and their police department.

The filming of On Patrol: Live will not interfere with standard services and operations provided by the Everett Police Department.
