The National Weather Service warns of high winds & high wind chill in the lowlands until 10pm this evening.
As seen in the graphic, East Puget Sound Lowlands are expected to see east winds 25-40 mph.Combined with the freezing, expect damaging winds will blow trees down resulting in power outages. Travel will also be difficult for taller vehicles. Gusts of up to 65 mph are possible.
A Wind Chill Warning was also issued reminding people to wear appropriate clothing to avoid hypothermia. Wind chills can be as low as 15 below zero.
