Shortly after 3:00 AM this morning (Saturday 12/16) Everett Police responded to a report of a car into a retail marijuana shop in the 8900 block of Evergreen Way.
A black Kia had backed into the front of the shop, destroying the entrance.
According to witnesses who were in the neighborhood, multiple people entered the shop, grabbed up product and then ran out fleeing in a second vehicle, leaving behind the black Kia with damaged ignition.
It all happened within a couple of minutes and appears to be another in a string of such “smash and grab” style burglaries stretching from Marysville to Tacoma.
The targets are mostly retail marijuana or smoke shops and almost always involve the use of stolen vehicles.
Last Sunday morning around 4 AM similar burglary occurred at Everett Cigar & Tobacco near 112th and Evergreen Way.
