Editor’s Update 10:22 AM: Everett Police confirm the Kia was reported as stolen out of south King County.
Around 4:15 AM Everett Police responded to a report of a car into Everett Cigar & Tobacco at 11108 Evergreen Way in south Everett, Washington.
Multiple people were seen entering the shop and then running back out, dropping products as they fled.
A K-9 unit from Snohomish County Sheriff’s office came by and tried a track but were unable to locate the suspects.
Police say this appears to be another in a rash of “smash and grab” burglaries stretching up and down the i-5 corridor from Marysville to Tacoma.
Patrol officers were checking nearby video and gathering evidence.
The car involved was a Kia that had extensive damage to the ignition and was likely an unreported stolen at the time of this writing.
