Editor’s Update 9:00 PM: The roadway reopened shortly after 8:30 PM. The case remains under investigation with no more information expected until tomorrow.
A Sergeant with the traffic safety unit of Everett PD works the scene in the 8500 block of Evergreen Way.
All southbound lanes of Evergreen Way were shut down at Casino Road around 5:45 PM Tuesday night.
Everett Police advised via social media they were investigating a collision involving a vehicle and pedestrian.
The pedestrian was transported by Everett Fire Department medics to Providence Regional Medical Center with injuries described by EPD as serious.
No ETA on the opening of the southbound lanes but traffic is being diverted through the Fred Meyer parking lot. Northbound lanes remain open.
The driver of the vehicle involved was on scene talking with detectives from the EPD Traffic Safety Unit.
