For more than a decade the City of Everett, Washington has welcomed the Holiday season with what the city calls Wintertide.

It began with hot cocoa and a simple visit from Santa at Wetmore Plaza. Now Wintertide has grown to encompass a host of events throughout the City.

Wintertide fun in Everett begins this year with a variety of fun opportunities where you can shop local and in person. Here’s a partial list…

Shop Small in Downtown Everett
November 16 – December 31
#ShopSmall in Downtown Everett this Wintertide! The Downtown Everett Association will have the annual Downtown Everett Shopping Guide hot off the press, and they’re bringing back the iconic Everett canvas shopping totes (IYKYK). The guides and totes both launch at the Wintertide Sip & Shop (Nov. 16) to kick off the holiday shopping season in Downtown Everett! For those looking to support local businesses this winter and beyond, the Downtown Everett gift card is available year-round and makes a great gift for the hard-to-shop-for people on your list.

Normanna Lodge Scandinavian Holiday Bazaar
November 17 & 18
10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Let’s all take a sec to thank Nordic folks for teaching us how to really appreciate the long, dark, cold winters here in the Pacific Northwest. Head to Normanna Lodge for their annual Nordic Holiday Bazaar and shop over 30 vendors, catch cultural music featuring the Norwegian Male Chorus, and demonstrations and chow down on a traditional Nordic lunch* (from 11am – 2pm). Don’t miss buying some pickled herring as you walk out the door!

*Eating lutefisk not required.

Artisans of Everett a Sippin’ and a Shoppin’
November 18
6 – 9 p.m.
Have you heard? Wine tasting, books galore, popups and product drops…oh and live holiday music and other cool things will be happening on the 18th. Both Artisans Books & Coffee AND Artisans PNW will be open to the public for shopping (special late hours for PNW) BUT! To participate in their wine tasting you have to buy a ticket! And, if you buy a ticket before Nov. 12, we will have a uniquely painted wine glass for you as a gift! Each glass hand painted. Stay tuned for more information!! The Holidays are HERE!!

Everett Farmers Market – November Harvest Market
November 19
10:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.
The beloved Everett Farmers Market crew will be hosting a special harvest and holiday market at its normal spot downtown between Hewitt and Pacific on Wetmore. Load up on holiday treats, handmade gifts and enjoy other festive fun. Forgot to get something during the regular season? Now’s your chance to pre-fill the stockings with unique farmers market items, and prepare for the Thanksgiving feast!
 

2-day Kickoff Event November 24th & 25th at Hewitt & Colby:

Santa will light up downtown Everett at 5:00 PM November 24th

The official kick-off event covers two days in downtown Everett and starts with the arrival of Santa and the lighting of the tree. Here’s the schedule for the weekend…

Everett Makers Holiday Market: Explore an enchanting array of unique, handcrafted gifts from over 40 local makers where you’re sure to find a treasure trove of cheerful presents for everyone on your holiday shopping list. Click here to see the list of vendors.

Downtown shopping deals: Shop at downtown’s exquisite retailers, grab a coffee or an adult bevvy, and eat at delicious restaurants. Score Black Friday and Small Business Saturday deals!

Live Holiday Music and Story Time: The Historic Everett Theatre will come alive with the joyous sounds of holiday-themed music, holiday movies and story time hosted by the Everett Public Library.

Santa’s Grand Arrival: Prepare for the thrill as the one and only Santa Claus arrives at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 24. He’ll show up in style aboard an Everett Fire Truck, heralding the holiday season’s official commencement.

Tree Lighting: Witness the mesmerizing illumination of the downtown holiday tree and lighting displays. Santa lights up the place at 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 24.

Free Santa Photos: Catch a photo with Santa inside the Historic Everett Theatre. Santa will sit for photos on Friday, Nov. 24 from 5:30 – 8 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 25 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Bring your own camera/phone.

Cocoa and Cookies: Warm up in the company of your fellow revelers with hot cocoa and delicious holiday cookies.

Meet Dasher and Dancer: On Saturday, Nov. 25, don’t miss the chance to meet two live reindeer, Dasher and Dancer. They’ll be hanging out, resting up for their big day.

This year’s Wintertide Kickoff Celebration is your gateway to the enchanting Wintertide Season. Take this opportunity to explore downtown Everett in all its charm, from its inviting shops and boutiques to its cozy pubs and delightful restaurants.

Parking

Be generous and save the street parking for those with limited mobility. Park in Everett’s FREE parking garage, Everpark. It’s smack-dab in the middle of all the action.
