Join Everett Public Library on Tuesday, November 14, at 6 p.m. at the Main Library, 2702 Hoyt Ave., for an event with author and former defense attorney Phillip Margolin. He will discuss his latest novel, “Betrayal,” available on November 7.

“Betrayal” traces the interlocking paths of defense attorney Robin Lockwood and MMA fighter Mandy Kerrigan. Kerrigan once ended Lockwood’s MMA career, but now she is on her last legs, arrested for a quadruple murder, with Lockwood her only possible friend.

Phillip Margolin is the best-selling author of more than 20 books, including “Gone, but Not Forgotten,” “Lost Lake,” and “Violent Crimes.” He started writing crime and mystery novels as a practicing criminal defense attorney in Oregon and has decades of trial experience. Margolin lives in Portland, Oregon.
