Everett Police Officer Given is the first officer to receive the Dan Rocha Award.

The Dan Rocha award was created to honor our fallen hero, Officer Dan Rocha.

The award is given to officers who demonstrate a commitment to the community by policing with dignity, respect, and compassion as Dan did.

Officer Given was the perfect first winner of this award. Those who know Officer Given, say she has a smile that is contagious to other officers and our community.

Officer Given has been with the Everett Police since 2019 and has always put community first. She is one of Everett’s Field Training Officers and passed her skills to Everett’s newest officers. Next week Given will move into the PIO position.

A couple fun facts about Officer Given:

  • She grew up in Vienna, Austria
  • She loves backpacking, skiing, and convincing her co-workers to get Dairy Queen with her.
