Washington’s newest summer wine, beer and spirits tasting festival is returning to the Port of Everett’s Waterfront Place in its second year, taking place August 18-19 in and around the Port’s Pacific Rim Plaza.

Originally launched as Everett Uncorked last summer, the event now renamed Sip on the Sound features an expanded tasting menu of 40+ wine, beer and cocktails, and the addition of curated spirit flights including a slate of international whiskeys and high-end tequilas.

The 21+ festival produced by Bold Hat Productions is set for Friday, Aug. 18, from 5-9 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 19, from noon to 9 p.m.

Marina views, live music, food trucks and promotions at participating waterfront businesses are also part of the fun.

Tickets are now available at www.siponthesound.com.

“We thank the Port of Everett for the continued partnership in bringing this event back to Waterfront Place,” said Phil Megenhardt, president of Bold Hat Productions. “With the successful launch of Everett Uncorked last summer, Sip on the Sound is the perfect evolution of that event to bring even more fun tastes and experiences to the Everett waterfront this August.”

Sip on the Sound also gives back. A portion of event proceeds support youth boating programs through the Northwest Marine Trade Association (NMTA).
