All southbound lanes of Evergreen Way were closed in the 10100 block for nearly four hours Sunday night as Everett Police dealt with a high speed crash involving a pickup truck towing an excavator who hit a Cadillac on Evergreen Way just north of Olivia Park.

It happened about 6:20 PM. Initial reports say the truck and trailer were northbound on Evergreen Way at a high rate of speed and crashed into the Cadillac. The truck and excavator flipped and three people ran from the truck. One of the people had a dog.

One person was caught by Everett Police near the entrance to the Motel 6 just north of the scene. The other two were caught after a search by Everett Police and tips from neighbors.

The excavator behind the pickup was reportedly stolen.

The driver of the Cadillac was checked by medics and was not believed to have serious injuries.

We’re still waiting for official word from Everett Police on the particulars. We’ll update as verified information becomes available. All lanes reopened at 10:10PM.
