In a unanimous vote (with councilmember Rhyne absent) the Everett City Council and Mayor Cassie Franklin today during a special meeting approved the following resolution:

All councilmembers present along with the Mayor supported the resolution but some expressed concern about becoming involved in the affairs of other local governments. Mayor Franklin also stressed that Everett, Washington had more work to do on its own.
