Suspect Arrested In Fatal Hit & Run

The crash happened in the 7100 block of Evergreen Way on December 30th.

Detectives with the Traffic Safety Unit of EPD were called out to investigate. A suspect was booked into jail Monday afternoon.

On December 30th Daniel F. Martinez Gomez of Everett, Washington was hit by a vehicle in the 7100 block of Evergreen Way. That vehicle fled the scene and Mr. Martinez Gomez died at an Everett hospital.

Detectives with the Traffic Safety Unit of Everett Police investigated and identified a suspect. They’ve been looking for that person for several weeks and yesterday afternoon that person was booked into the Snohomish County jail on suspicion of hit and run death.

Today the suspect was released from custody. It will now be up to Snohomish County Prosecutors to file formal charges. As formal charges have not yet been filed, MyEverettNews.com is not naming the person.
