After Nearly Two Months Medical Examiner Identifies Downtown Everett Shooting Victim

On November 27th Everett Police officers near the former downtown Everett YMCA at California and Rockefeller heard gunshots. They soon found a person down in the street who had been shot. That person was transported by medics to Providence Regional Medical Center where they later passed away. Everett Police confirmed they were starting a homicide investigation.

At 5 PM today, the Snohomish County Medical Examiner released the following information on social media:
SCMEO completed the exam & confirmed the ID of the 48-year-old male shot near California St & Rockefeller Ave in Everett, WA on 11/27/21. The decedent is Jerome L. Burnett of Manhattan, KS. COD is gunshot wound. MOD is Homicide. For more info contact Everett Police.

Everett Police have said they have little to go on in the case and Major Crimes detectives continue to investigate.
