Almost a victim to budget cuts last year the Animal Farm at Forest Park in Everett, Washington is set to open Saturday morning for the summer. Here’s more in a press release from Everett Parks.

Everett Parks & Community Services welcomes people of all ages to come enjoy  Forest Park’s Animal Farm, starting Saturday, June 22. The Animal Farm will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Aug. 18.

This free, fun program teaches old and young alike what it’s like to work and raise animals on the farm. Community members and visitors are invited to stop by and visit with all the animals  including goats, rabbits, ducks, chickens, pigs and ponies.

For those interested in practicing their farm skills at home, you can take a bunny home for $35 for three days to see if taking care of a soft little buddy is the right fit for you and your family.

The Animal Farm is located at Forest Park, 802 E. Mukilteo Blvd. Donations are appreciated to help offset the cost of feed and maintenance. Learn more at everettwa.gov/animalfarm.
