June 3, 2019 a Traffic Safety Unit detective was continuing the investigation of the fatal hit-and-run that occurred on May 25 in the 1300 block of 13th St.
At approximately 8:30 p.m. the detective located a maroon passenger vehicle in the 1400 block of 14th St. that had damage consistent with having been in a collision. While the detective was looking at the vehicle, he was approached by a man who came from a nearby residence and claimed to be the owner of the vehicle. After a discussion with the man at the scene, he accompanied officers to the Everett north precinct where he continued to talk to detectives.
Probable cause was developed for the man for Felony Hit and Run Resulting in a Death. The thirty-six-year old Everett man was booked into the Snohomish County Jail. The investigation is ongoing.
