Evergreen Way Closed By Fatal Crash

The crash investigation will continue into the work week.

Editor’s update 11:00 AM: Everett Police PIO Aaron Snell tells MyEverettNews.com the crash involved a Subaru going southbound on Evergreen and a Toyota headed northbound. The driver of the Subaru has been arrested and is expected be booked into the Snohomish County jail later today. The driver of the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene. The Snohomish County Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death and release the identity of the victim. Snell says the investigation is ongoing.

Editor’s update 10:08 AM: All lanes of Evergreen Way have reopened.

An Everett Police traffic detective talks with patrol officers at the scene.

A head-on crash at 108th and Evergreen Way about six o’clock this (Sat) morning has shut all but one lane of Evergreen Way in south Everett.

Northbound traffic is being diverted at 112th and southbound traffic is down to one lane while Everett Police Traffic Detectives investigate the crash.

The grey car was going south and the white car going north when one crossed over the center lane into the other. One of the drivers died at the scene. The other is okay.

We will update when we get more information from Everett Police.

The latest estimated time for all lanes to reopen was 9:30 AM.
