Was asked to pass along word about a benefit to honor Barb Haner, a former nurse at Dawson Place in Everett. Funds raised will be used for professional training/development of Providence Intervention Center for Assault & Abuse nurses and victim advocates. Here is a bit more about the event.

An Evening of Musical Theater

A much-needed scholarship fund for the advanced training of nurses and patient advocates at the Dawson Place Child Advocacy Center will be established in honor of the center’s founder and original medical director, Barbara Boslaugh Haner.

Our first fundraiser dedicated to this cause is an evening of live music acknowledging Barb’s love of musical theater. Four professional singers from the world of regional theater will perform songs drawn from some of Barb’s favorite shows in the intimate 300 seat setting of the Snohomish County PUD Auditorium, a special treat for Barb’s family, friends and professional associates as well as musical theater fans from the Everett area.
