Mid-Week Security Exercises Set For Naval Station Everett

Just a quick reminder of things that may startle you on Wednesdays at Naval Station Everett this week and next.

Naval Station Everett Security Exercise Sept. 12 and 19

EVERETT, Wash. – Naval Station Everett will be conducting a security training exercise on Wednesday, Sept. 12 and Wednesday, Sept. 19. The exercise will take place between 11 a.m. and 12 noon.

During the exercise, base access at the main gate may be closed for short 5 minute intervals. There will also be a heightened security presence at the base waterfront, loudspeaker alerts, and active emergency response vehicles.

Security training exercises such as this will continue to occur on a regular basis throughout the next several months.

Training is conducted regularly to help maintain and improve the qualifications of emergency response personnel. NSE is responsible for protecting the safety and security of the Navy base, homeported vessels, and surrounding maritime environment.
