About 5:15 PM Snohomish County 911 began receiving calls of two homes on fire.
Arriving fire crews could see a column of smoke from a mile out and flames were already through the roof on both houses when the first firefighters arrived.
It appears one home caught fire first and the flames quickly jumped to the second. Both were heavily damaged.
Leslie Hynes from South County Fire says no one was injured and a fire investigator is working to determine the cause.
