The “Flame of Hope” Special Olympics Torch passed through downtown Everett Thursday afternoon on the last leg of its trip to opening ceremonies in Seattle.

Special Olympics athletes, along with over 40 law enforcement personnel from across the country are carrying the Torch.

There was a brief ceremony at the Snohomish County Courthouse Plaza and then on to Funko before the Torch heads to Seattle.

The Torch Run is occurring as runners from around the country carry torches to meet in Seattle on July 1 for the start of the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games, which will take place at Husky Stadium.
