Wanna touch a truck while eating a piece of cake? That may be possible tomorrow (Saturday June 2nd) during the City of Everett’s 125th Anniversary Celebration. It’s happening rain or shine at Everett Station. Here are the details.

The City of Everett and local partners invite community members to celebrate 125 years of Everett on Saturday, June 2, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Everett Station.

Guests will enjoy more than 20 activity booths, including arts and crafts, a touch-a-truck area, photos booths and face painting. Historical bus and walking tours will also be available for residents and visitors to enjoy. The Everett Animal Shelter will also be on hand with adoptable pets.

“The city of Everett has come a long way in the last 125 years and we are looking forward to celebrating our past, present, and future as a community,” said Everett Mayor Cassie Franklin. “I look forward to seeing you at the celebration!”

Attendees can get a closer look at vehicles from the City fleets and other local organizations in the touch-a-truck area. This will include police cars, a hybrid Everett Transit bus, a Humvee courtesy of Naval Station Everett, a Sound Transit double decker bus, Public Works vehicles, and multiple fire trucks, including an antique rig.

The City will continue celebrating the 125th anniversary throughout the summer at a number of events, including multiple programs presented by the Everett Public Library. This will include an opportunity for community members to add a message to a time capsule, to be opened in 2068.
