Another Shooting Off 128th SW South of Everett

Editor’s Update Wednesday 5/10/17 2:00 PM: Just in from the Sheriff’s Office… Deputies with the Snohomish County Violent Offender Task Force have located a 26 year-old male suspected of shooting another 26 year-old male yesterday around 2 p.m. at the 12800 block of 8th Ave W. The suspect has been booked into the Snohomish County jail for 1st degree assault.

It’s not officially in the Everett City limits but most people consider 128th street between Silver Lake and Highway 99 as part of Everett. Over the last couple of weeks there have been several shootings in the area. The most recent occurred this afternoon. Shari Ireton with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office issued the following bulletin today…

Deputies are responding to a shooting that was reported just before 2 p.m. at the 12800 block of 8th Ave W. The victim, a male in his 20’s, is being transported to Harborview Regional Medical Center with serious leg injuries. The suspect is described as a black male in a hoodie and jeans, last seen running southbound on the south side of 128th St SW towards I-5. It is believed that the suspect knew the victim.

The was a K-9 search for the suspect but that was called off after a short time. Right now no further details are available.
