Citizen Helps Everett Cops Catch Car Thieves
An officer talks with the man reported behind the wheel of the stolen car after a positive ID by a citizen.
A Honda reported stolen earlier in the day is recovered by an Everett Police officer on Colby.
A man and woman are in jail this afternoon after they were seen getting out of and heading away from a stolen car dumped on Colby Avenue in north Everett.
A citizen called 9-1-1 after seeing the two leave the car near 22nd and Colby then then head to the area of Clark Park where they began changing clothes.
Everett Police responded, secured the car and then followed the citizen’s directions to where the two were headed through the park. After a positive I.D. the two were booked in to the Snohomish County Jail for felony possession of a stolen vehicle and a woman was able to get her stolen car back.
Just goes to show good stuff happens when citizens and Everett Police are able to work together. The two are expected to make their first court appearance on Monday.
