Everett Police are looking for a silver Pontiac driven by a woman with brown hair who ran down an officer and raced off. According to Everett Police Sgt. Maryjane Hacker an Everett Police officer was called to a nuisance complaint near the McDondald’s just west of Broadway and Everett Avenue at 3:34 PM.

The officer reportedly saw a woman in the car who appeared to be doing drugs. As the officer approached the car the woman put it in reverse and swung around. Hacker says this put the officer in front of the car. The woman accelerated and hit the officer with the front of the car, knocking the officer to the ground. The car then took off northbound.

Everett Police attempted to find the car and it was reportedly spotted in northeast Everett but officers did not get a close enough look to get a license plate.

Meanwhile the officer who was run over was taken by aid car to Providence Regional Medical Center. Hacker says he has no major injuries.

Right now patrol officers are reviewing footage from various security cameras in the neighborhood to see if the incident was caught on video.

Police only have a description of a brown haired woman driving a silver Pontiac, possibly a Grand Am. Anyone with information is asked to call the Everett Police Tip line at 425-257-8450.
