Today May Be Last Call For China Doll

China Doll

The China Doll has been operating in Everett for 51 years.

China Doll

The building at Wall and Broadway has seen better days.

The China Doll Restaurant, which has been serving folks in Everett for 51 years, will likely shut down after last call tonight.

The MyEverettNews.com crew (Okay, just me) eats there for lunch at least once a month and always has the L3.
Good, fast and affordable.

I got a tip earlier today from a reader that they were telling customers today is their last day.

I rushed down for lunch and confirmed that unless a major breakthrough happens between the management team and the landlord they will be closing the restaurant at the end of the day.

When I asked why the closure, I was told it was complicated as these things usually are with retirement, rent and condition of the building all playing a role in the decision to close. Apparently the parties have been working for months to reach some type of agreement and that clock runs out at midnight tonight.

Hopefully the two sides can work out a last-second deal but it did not sound hopeful so if you’re looking for one last meal or a drink in the legendary bar…You best get there before closing time tonight.
