Naval Station Everett Main Gate Reopens Saturday

This entrance was closed for the summer for installation of a new canopy.
They got the shelter roof up just in time for the rainy season. Naval Station Everett says the main entrance to the base will reopen this Saturday morning. It had
been under construction for the last 4 months…
Naval Station Everett’s main gate will be open again for normal vehicle and pedestrian access starting on Saturday, Sept. 3 at 6 a.m. Construction on the gate started in late May and is now complete.
The patience and flexibility of personnel, local neighbors, and those who regularly access the base during the temporary closure has been greatly appreciated.
The security gate was upgraded with structural improvements, including a new canopy to provide additional weather protection for sentries.
The base’s north gate will resume access and inspection for commercial vehicles on 18th Street from West Marine View Drive.
