A look at where the pedestrian hit the van.

It appears a pedestrian hit near 21st and Broadway Wednesday night was standing in the lane of travel and not in a crosswalk.

That’s just a preliminary indication as Everett traffic investigators look into the crash that shut down southbound Broadway between 18th and 22nd streets for an hour and a half.

The crash was reported about 8:15 PM and involved a pedestrian and a mini-van.

The pedestrian was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the mini-van called 9-1-1 and stayed at the scene cooperating with Everett Police Traffic Investigators.
