The Snohomish County Chapter of the American Red Cross is holding a Holiday Mail for Heroes event tomorrow. Between 11am and 4pm you can come to the Frontier Communications Store at the Everett Mall and create a card for a military member. The Red Cross will then make sure the card is delivered in time for the holidays. Here are the details as provided by the Snohomish County Red Cross… Called “Holiday Mail for Heroes,” this event will occur at the Frontier Communications store located in the Everett Mall on Friday, November 11, Veteran’s Day, from 11 am to 4 pm. Every card made or signed here in Everett will get delivered to a service member, or a hospitalized veteran, or their families.
Arts and crafts supplies for making cards and writing tools will be provided. People are welcome to donate cards as well. “This is a powerful way to show your appreciation for our troops and veterans. Make it a special family event by bringing your children and having them make a card or two,” encouraged Chuck Morrison, Executive Director of the local Snohomish Chapter of the American Red Cross.
Locally, this event is supported by Frontier Communications which is providing the public location and all supplies to make and collect cards and Fox Sports Radio 1380 AM who will be broadcasting live from 12 noon to 2 pm, “On the Road with Stitch and Maury.”
