Everett Government

Mike Hope is running for Snohomish County Executive

“Why can’t we be that bright spot in the economy everyone talks about? We can…with clear visions and leaders who listen to good ideas.” – Mike Hope

Jobs Crisis.

37,800 Snohomish County workers are unemployed…more fear layoffs. Our unemployment rate is 10.0%, well above the state average. This crisis demands a response from our County Executive, and Mike Hope has a jobs plan.

Big Ideas That Matter.

As our legislator, Mike Hope invests in big ideas. When times of crisis call for bold action you won’t find Mike on the sidelines.

  • Giving homeowners second chances. Passed a bill allowing homeowners time to avoid foreclosure, request mediation and negotiate repayment plans
  • Brought a four-year university to Snohomish County. Fought a $500 million tax increase proposed by county politicians in favor of a bi-partisan, economical plan that adds degree programs focused on job skills
  • Lakewood Police Memorial Act. After the shooting of four Lakewood officers, Mike sponsored this measure that voters passed by an 85% margin

Restoring trust.

As County Executive, Mike will not tolerate the existing culture of scandal in county government. An effective legislator and veteran law enforcement officer, Mike Hope is the right leader to restore trust in government.
