On Tuesday Ethel McNeal, who was appointed to the position by current Everett City Council members earlier this year, filed for election.
She joins Liz Vogeli and Tyler Rourke who filed on Monday.
The top two candidates in the August Primary will move on to the General Election in November.
In what may be a first for Everett, all three candidates live south of 41st street.
If you are interested in running, the filing fee is $281.53 and you have until 5 PM Friday to file in person at the Snohomish County Auditor’s Office in downtown Everett.
The winner of the race will be appointed once the election is certified in November and will serve for one year. The person will have to run for a full four year term next fall.
Here is the link to the filing information at the auditor’s website.
